On April 8, Duken Massimkhanuly, Director of the Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Ainur Abidenkyzy, Chief Researcher at the institute, visited Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). They were accompanied by Yerzhan Jukenov, Counselor of the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Shanghai.
Professor Yang Cheng, Executive Dean of the Shanghai Academy of Global Governance & Area Studies, and other representatives engaged in in-depth discussions with the Kazakh delegation. Both sides reached a consensus on further strengthening cooperation in areas such as data collection, joint research, co-publishing, and faculty and student exchanges, and agreed to launch related projects as soon as possible.
Guliziyi Baishan, Head of the Kazakh Language Program and Director of the Central Asian Languages Department at the School of Russian, Eurasian, and Central Asian Studies, also attended the meeting.
