Young delegates from Germany, Hungary, Italy, and other European countries recently concluded the ten-day Explore Shanghai program, gaining deep insights into one of China's most dynamic international metropolises through a combination of academic exchanges and urban exploration. Organized by the Shanghai Academy of Global Governance and Area Studies, the program provided European youth with a unique opportunity to directly experience contemporary China's development.

During the academic sessions, scholars from Shanghai International Studies University engaged in dialogues with European youth on topics such as China-EU relations and cultural differences, fostering mutual understanding. The subsequent urban exploration included multiple dimensions: the delegation experienced traditional Chinese medicine at a community service center, tried their hand at traditional handicraft making in a cultural and creative space, and learned about the current state of digital economy development at the Bund FTC. These activities allowed the European youth to observe Shanghai's urban development model from various perspectives.

The program also featured visits to cities in the Yangtze River Delta region. The delegates toured the Yiwu International Trade Market to experience the vitality of the Chinese market, visited the Suzhou Industrial Park to understand achievements in international cooperation, and inspected Sino-German enterprises in Taicang to explore business collaboration opportunities. These field visits provided first-hand insights into China's regional economic development.
