The 3rd Global South Think Tank Dialogue opened in Shanghai on December 4th. The event was co-hosted by the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and the Global South Think Tank Network. Chen Jining, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Approximately 350 representatives from over 120 countries participated in the event. Yin Dongmei, Chair of the Council of SISU attended the Opening Ceremony.
That afternoon, the sub-forum Promoting Common Development and Deepening South-South Cooperation, organized by Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), was successfully held, bringing together over 60 experts, scholars, and officials from 36 countries. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on new opportunities and practical pathways for South-South cooperation.
In her address, Yin Dongmei, Chair of the Council of SISU, stated that the university will continue to support Global South development through educational advancement and think tank collaboration. Multiple experts emphasized during discussions that Global South countries should enhance mutual learning and practical cooperation to jointly address global challenges.
SISU expressed its commitment to deepening multifaceted cooperation with Global South countries and contributing to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
