Professor Yang Cheng, SAGGAS Executive Director, congratulated the graduates and urged them to embrace lifelong learning and critical thinking in an era of rapid AI-driven change. He called on students to balance self-cultivation with global engagement, and to navigate uncertainty with purpose. On this eighth anniversary of the academy's founding, Yang also unveiled SAGGAS's commemorative emblem, symbolizing its enduring mission.

Associate Professor Hu Chunchun, Director of the European Studies Institute, drew on German philosophical concepts of Besonnenheit (composure) and Gelassenheit (serenity) to advise graduates to maintain sharp critical thinking while cultivating empathy, staying rooted in Chinese perspectives while broadening global horizons.

SISU Alumni Association Secretary Wang Huihua officiated the founding of the SAGGAS Alumni Chapter. 2025 PhD graduate Hong Yunxin was appointed its first president, with Wang Xiaqing as a core officer. Hong pledged to build a vibrant alumni platform to support the academy's continued development.

This year, 35 students graduated: 7 PhDs, 27 master's students, and 1 international PhD candidate. SAGGAS wishes the Class of 2026 courage and success as they step into an ever-changing world.
